Sharing Makes Things Better

Over the last 6 months, as we’ve all adjusted to the change the pandemic has wrought, I’ve been delighted by what people have shared.

Sharing vulnerably with sadness and joy.

Sharing what’s working and what’s not.

Sharing work, knowledge and ideas.

Sharing how to do things better.

…and it does make things better and makes better things. I’d like to see it continue.

Sharing helps spread ideas and when ideas spread they become more powerful.

Sharing can shine light and insight on work that’s not yet fully formed. It can give the work the opportunity to be made better through the generous input of others.

The opposite is hiding your work away. Preventing the reveal of a misapprehension or simple fix. By sharing, improvements, new ideas or blindspots can be identified.

Sharing makes things better. What might you generously share today?
