“It’s very hard to have ideas. It’s very hard to put yourself out there, it’s very hard to be vulnerable, but those people who do that are the dreamers, the thinkers, and the creators. They are the magic people of the world.” — Amy Poehler

Taking action feels vulnerable. Exposed.

You might look stupid.
It might not work.
It’s new, you don’t really know what you’re doing.
You’re standing out from the crowd.
You’re exposed.

How does this play?
How might we play nice?

What if it doesn’t work?
What is the worst that can happen?

I don’t know how?
What is the cost of not taking action?

It probably won’t work.
Failure is the first attempt at learning.

It’s too scary.
Love & embrace the fear. Think of it as a good sign. The fear comes from the unfamiliar, going where you haven’t been before. That means you’re stretching. Working harder on something important. You’ll learn from the effort.

Show up. Take action.
This is how change begins.

This is the work of a leader.
